8 Double SS (16  5-minute games) G/5min + d0 sec (each player has 5 minutes - no  delay). Double Swiss means you play the same person twice - alternating between Black and White pieces for a single "round."

2018 Fall (8 sessions):

SEP9, 16, 23  OCT7, 14, 21 NOV4 & 11

Four levels with their own instructor:

Starters: Learn the moves and basic rules of play. Builds to full game under supervision. Evaluation stage before placement.

Beginners:Unrated and beginner who work on basic checkmates, opening theory, tactics and advanced rules of chess. Full games. 

Intermediate: Players with some tournament experience between 400-700 USCF needing tactical/positional development and blunder proofing

Advanced: Experienced tournament players ~750 USCF. Emphasis heavy on tactics and game situations.

ENTRY FEEs:  $80 until day of the event (50% for 1-day Scholastic Event). $85 day of the event only until 30 minutes before round 1. All late registrations after that will be paired in round 2.

1-day scholastic 4 rounds. This section will be conducted with round immediately following each other (without lunch period). It will end near 3pm with awards immediately following.
