What is a Quad?
Quad tournaments use players' ratings to rank them into groups of 4 players who play a mini-round robin. Each four-player group will play three games (player #1 vs #4 & #2 vs #3). If the last grouping is not a perfect foursome, then that group will be a 3-round mini-swiss tournament of 5 to 7 players. The format benefit is that your foursome is closest to your current rating.

USCF Dual-Rated 3-round Quads tournament; All Rounds are Game in 60 minutes with 5-second delay.

SECTIONS: Players will be ordered by October rating (Quick ratings may be used) and placed into groups of 4, also known as Quads. **************************************************************
ROUNDS: Round 1: 10:00 PM and then ASAP (R212:30 & R3 3:00)for each Quad game.

Note: No Byes permitted in a round-robin event. All four quad members are expected to play the three rounds.

PRIZES: PRIZES: $65 for first place at each Quad (if two players tied for 1st place $32.50 each). Last section (small swiss) 1st $50 / 2nd $25 place
