Last month we started a new free and US Chess Rated event that allows players to play rated chess or just come and hang out. All players must be 18 or older. There will only be one round played each month, and the atmosphere is relaxed. Our next Adult Event is April 21st. Aspire Church is located in San Marco Square. Be there by 6:15 for a 6:30 start for the only round. Any latecomers need to hope for an odd number or a second person to arrive.

Congrats Advait for winning Bughouse Championship (with Akshat) and a 5th place finish in Blitz at the National Middle School Championships. Advait finished 38th in the nation in a multi-way tie for 4th Place with 4.5/7.0. Congrats to his family. Their support has been amazing. Thanks also to his coach GM Pontus Carlsson for getting him ready to compete with the best.
