A USCF rated tournament that is open to women and girls only. Moms too!

This event is for moms, daughters, sisters, wives, aunts...well, you get it...chess players. Our hope is to start an annual event for female chess players that catches on around the state. We are committing one event per year to develop this format.

Free long sleeve T-shirt to all who register early. First time competitive players are welcome. We have a lower section just for you!

All registered player will receive a free QUEENS CUP longsleeved t-shirt. Email jaxchessclub@gmail.com when registered to send shirt size. Shirt cutoff May 1st. Register early. No extra shirts to be ordered after cutoff. Previous year's extra shirts are available for sale.

We are entertaining sponsorships from organizations who would like support this event in May 2017. JAXCC is an IRS 501(c)3 organization and your donation will be tax deductible.

2 Sections: Champions ( very competitive players with tournament experience who will complete for prize money & Reserved U600 (competes for trophies) the perfect section for new players without USCF ratings or tournament experience. It is also good for lower rated players who want to enjoy the fun nature of this event without playing stronger girls. The perfect section for moms who play, but would never enter a tournament under other settings.

4SS (4 rounds of games) All Dual Rated @ G/45;d5 (each player has 45 minutes plus a 5 sec delay) Scholastic section G/30;d5

EF: $35 General entry. / $5 off for JAXCC Members / Walk-up $45 at door

Registration: 9:00 to 9:45 am. ONSITE Cash or check only accepted the morning of the event or Online Registration is currently open until Friday 11 pm, Dec 9th. Expired USCF registration can be renewed on site by check or cash. NO CREDIT CARDS accepted onsite.

USCF membership required (we will assist you with a new membership or you need to renew on-site).

Prizes: $300 Prizes (b/30 players) for top three in each section and cash prizes for best players U1200 & Best Chess Mom. 1st Place: $125, 2nd Place: $75, 3rd Place $50 , U1200 $25. Best Chess Mom $25: Trophy. Customized Queen's Cup Logo Trophies for Top section winner and 5 places in scholastic section. Unrated player can only win place prizes.

Time: Registration 9:00 am - 9:45 am Late arrivals will be paired in the 2nd round. No exceptions.
Rds: 10:00 am, 11:30am, Lunch: 1:30 pm - 2:00 pm, 2:15 pm, 4:00 pm
Ends: 6:00 pm

Bring own sets and clocks or purchase onsite (cash or check). Wheelchair accessible.

BYES: 1/2 point bye available (limit 1) for registered players, must commit before Rd 2. Non-registered late arrivals will be given 0 point byes for missed rounds. No admissions after round 2.

LOCATION: Tapestry Park is one of the cutest areas of Jacksonville and has cobblestones and castle architecture that's fit for a Queen's Cup. This event will be held at Hotel Indigo which is one of the Top 10 rated locations in Jacksonville. Our QC players deserve no less and only affirms our event tag line: "We treat every player like at Queen." As chess players we know what that means. It is surrounded that shopping and eateries all around and is right next to Tinseltown Mutliplex so parents can take in a matinee while the players play.
